This double-barreled shotgun was used by Wyatt Earp to shoot Frank Stilwell, one of his brother Morgan's killers.
Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp (March 19, 1848 - January 13, 1929) was born in Monmouth, Illinois. Together with Doc Holliday,
Virgil Earp and Morgan Earp he was one of the participants in the shootout at the OK Corral in Tombstone, Arizona.
He thus became part of the legendary characters of the American West who have inspired numerous westerns.
Marshal Wyatt Earp was well known in the western United States for his extreme harshness in dealing with those who break the law,
and he was also incorruptible and fearless in prosecuting criminals.
He achieved particular fame during the shootout in Tombstone.
During his tenure as Marshal, he lost one of his two brothers and another was crippled by the vengeance of their enemies.
