7x40 DF, IOR Valada, as east-german NVA binoculars - Very good

I have IOR and they are among the best I have tried. Military glass from Romania country usually has a slight yellow tint. It was designed that way to increase visibility in bad weather conditions, also in the event of a nuclear war, that particular glass they use will not degrade due to radiation. Optically, the IORs are very sharp and incredibly contrasty. Although they are 7x, I can see the same amount of detail at a distance as with a Nikon 16x. What sets them apart is the ability to resolve images in shadows, especially when looking at a forest against the sun just before sunset - my Nikon Monarch M7 and Leupold BX-4 simply can't compete with that. The color saturation surpasses anything I've ever seen. They worked perfectly in all the weather conditions I have used them in. They are super sturdy and incredibly easy on the eyes, you get a nice 3D image with total immersion. They are heavy, but extremely robust and will last you a lifetime.
