The  city of Leipzig has a long history.

Martial events from the Thirty Years' War. The "Great Battle of Nations" in 1813, in which Austrians, Prussians, Russians and Swedes won the decisive victory against Napoleon's troops.

The war events 1943-1945 which ended with the US Army handing over the city to the Red Army in the summer of 1945.
